Dr John Harris
Dr John
Harris MB.Ch.B., F.R.A.C.G.P.
Qualified: 1985 Manchester (U.K.)
John completed his
medical degree in Manchester UK in 1985. After working for 3 years in
the hospitals of the South Manchester region he decided to travel
overseas to New Zealand. He spent 2 enjoyable years in the South Island,
where he obtained his post graduate qualification in General Practice,
before settling in the picturesque Bay of Plenty in the North Island. He
married Debbie in 1991 and they have 3 children. John spent 12 years in
a partnership in Mt. Maunganui before crossing over the Tasman to
Australia in 2002. He had an initial 3 year stint working in the
Whitsundays before finally settling in Nambour in August 2005.
When he had time he used to enjoy sailing
, skiing travelling and photography. However, he now spends most of his
time ferrying his 3 children to their various sporting and recreational
commitments (which he also enjoys!).
John enjoys all aspects of family
medicine. He has a particular interest in palliative medicine as well as
GP training and has
attended national and international conferences to keep himself updated.
Dr Paul Lanham

Queensland
Dr Paul Lanham graduated from Queensland
University in 1992 and spent the next 2 years working at Nambour General
Hospital. Upon finishing his Junior Medical Officer training he joined
the R.A.A.F. for four years with postings throughout Australia and
Malaysia. He furthered his career after leaving the Air Force by
completing a Diploma in Rural General Practice in which he qualified as
a GP anaesthetist. He then spent time in Alice Springs working as a
Royal Flying Doctor and as a GP in the Anyinginyi Aboriginal Health
Service. Upon returning to Nambour he completed his fellowship in
General Practice Medicine and joined the Nambour Clinic as a full time
General Practitioner. He is also the lead Trainer
in the clinic
Paul is married with 3 beautiful daughters. He
has a passion for horses and competes in Endurance riding. He plays
touch football and attends the Nambour Uniting Church where he is
involved with the running of the Youth Ministry Program.
Dr Sebastiaan Lambooy

Qualified: 1988 University of Sydney
Sebastiaan Lambooy was born and
bred in Oss, Holland and after an initial year studying law he decided to change to
medicine and spent 3 years at the Free University of Amsterdam. Meeting
his now wife the Lambooy family decided to move to Sydney in 1986 and
continued and finalized his studies at Sydney University. He spent 1
year at Royal Canberra Hospital before moving back to Sydney where he
spent 3 years doing anaesthetics and Intensive Care medicine.
Having seen the Sunshine Coast, whilst on holiday, the appeal was such
that the Lambooys moved here in 1993. They have four children and
Sebastiaan enjoys cycling and continues to compete at a national level.
Dr Glynn Moseley
Dr
Glynn Moseley M.B.B.S., D.R.C.O.G., M.R.C.G.P.,
Qualified: London (U.K)
Glynn Moseley was born and raised in the English Midlands. After a
year studying the history of fine art at the Sorbonne University in
Paris he set about pursuing a medical career at London University. On
qualifying he worked voluntarily running a casualty department at a
Christian Mission in the South of India. Returning to the UK he
completed his training in general practice and further qualifications in
Obstetrics and Paediatrics. In 1990 he came on Holiday to Queensland
with his wife And 2 children. Captivated by the people, lifestyle ad
climate he stayed, and after working in Cairns and the Gold Coast he
settled in Nambour in 1994. Outside medicine he has interests in Art and
Fishing. To stay fit he runs 12 kms 3 times a week, skis as often as
possible and is a black belt instructor in Taekwondo. He recently ran
with the bulls in Pamplona and lived (click photo for larger image).
Dr Bryan Palmer

Bryan joined the team in
2006 having decided to move from the U.K to the Sunshine Coast. He
qualified in 1993 and entered general practice in 1999 in Fareham,
Hampshire where he was a GP Partner. He had already spent time in
1997/98 at Nambour, Caloundra and Maleny Hospitals and so knows the area
well. His interests are in chronic disease management, geriatrics,
paediatrics and medical education. With the practice becoming accredited
again for training he has once more taken
up his interest in medical education. His outside interests include
website designing

Practitioner magazine in the U.K and more recently here for
Australian Doctor.
Dr Miles Savill

Dr Miles Savill

Qualified: 1953 University of
Queensland
After qualification Miles was a resident at
Brisbane and Nambour Hospitals before joining the practice in 1959. His
major interest was in obstetrics and has delivered many a son and
daughter in the locality. He has semi retired from active practice but
continues to help new residents to Australia by carrying out
immigration medicals.
Dr Edward Scott

Dr Edward Scott

Qualified: 2001 University of
Queensland
Edward
completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in
2001. Since then he has worked in Australia and overseas before
commencing his GP Training on the Sunshine Coast.
Prior to GP he has worked in Nambour Hospital and at the Royal
Children's Hospital where he has developed an interest in
paediatrics. He also worked in oncology in the UK for a
period of time to fund his overseas travel. He completed his GP
training in 2007.He has interests in sailing, squash and travelling
with his wife Sarah.
Dr John Scott

Queensland
John started at the Nambour Clinic in 1974
when he joined Drs Savill and Brown. In the early years the focus was on
obstetrics and anaesthesia but latterly this has changed to general
family medicine. As well as a partner in the practice, he also is a
State Government Medical Officer and Commonwealth Medical Officer, the
latter which includes carrying out
immigration
medicals. He has 3 sons, two of which have followed him into
medicine and the other is a lawyer. His wife, Margaret, is a
physiotherapist who specializes in paediatrics and his main interests
outside of medicine are sailing, travel and trying to keep fit.
